As part of its ongoing development, Biocontrol has established a US-based affiliate, Biocontrol International Incorporated. Based in Richmond, Virginia, the new company is intended to facilitate activities in the important US market and will support both US-based collaborations and a range of development activities.

Biocontrol Ltd was featured on BBC East Midlands Inside Out on 21st January 2009.  Dr David Harper was interviewed by Victoria Stanforth-Green on the therapeutic use of bacteriophages.

Biocontrol has now been advised of the intention to grant a patent by the European Patent Office for the aerosol delivery technology inlicensed in 2007 from the United Kingdom Health Protection Agency.
